INTRODUCTION
IT@JH Health IT is seeking an EPIC Project Leader Professional Billing who will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Epic Professional Billing applications. This role collaborates with business, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions meet organizational and regulatory requirements and support effective revenue cycle operations. The Project Lead provides technical and functional guidance, supports issue resolution, and coordinates project activities while balancing day-to-day operational needs. In addition, this position serves as a resource and mentor for junior staff, supporting skill development, knowledge transfer, and adherence to established standards and best practices.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and lead the overall project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Establish and communicate project objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing project team, providing guidance, motivation, and support.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure project milestones are met.
Epic Systems Implementation:
- Oversee the implementation of Epic Systems projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Work closely with Epic Systems analysts, trainers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and successful implementation.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and execute quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of Epic Systems configurations and workflows.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes, collaborating with end-users to gather feedback and address concerns.
Training and Support:
- Develop and implement training programs for end-users, ensuring a seamless transition to new or updated Epic Systems functionalities.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to end-users, addressing inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Five years related experience with computer systems and applications.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Epic Systems certification in relevant modules is highly desirable.
LOCATION
Location: Hybrid/JH at Harbor East
COMPENSATION
- Starting Salary Range: $99,800 - $175,300 Annually (Commensurate w/exp.)
- Employee group: Full Time
- Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
- FLSA Status: Exempt
TOTAL REWARDS
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EQUIVALENCY
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

VACCINE REQUIREMENTS
