JOB SUMMARY:
The Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University seeks to enhance its roster of distinguished faculty through the addition of a colleague with a strong background in clinical psychology. We are seeking candidates who have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates will be expected to contribute to our APA accredited Ph.D. program in clinical psychology in terms of teaching, scholarship, research and service, equally.
In addition to teaching courses in clinical psychology, broadly defined, applicants will mentor and advise Ph.D. and M.A. students.
Teaching and advising across programs in the Derner School of Psychology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants for this tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. and will begin teaching no later than the Fall 2027 semester.
Applicants with a strong publication record would be preferred. Research and scholarship involving psychopathology and/or psychotherapy is required (open to candidates of any theoretical orientation).
Applicants must be licensed as a Psychologist or eligible for licensure in NY State.
