Regional Sales Representative Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales representative in North Dakota?
Most regional sales representative roles in North Dakota are open to candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, marketing, or a field matching the industry. No state-issued sales license is required for most sectors, though representatives selling insurance or securities must hold the relevant North Dakota Insurance Department or FINRA license. Employers in agriculture and energy typically value direct industry knowledge, so a background in farming, oilfield operations, or distribution gives candidates a concrete edge.
Which companies hire regional sales representatives in North Dakota?
Employers hiring regional sales representatives in North Dakota right now include Certarus (USA), Altru, and Sodexo, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. North Dakota's mix of large agricultural cooperatives, energy service companies, and regional healthcare systems means hiring is spread across Fargo, Bismarck, and several smaller commercial hubs.
Which North Dakota cities have the most regional sales representative jobs?
The cities with the most regional sales representative openings in North Dakota are Fargo, Bismarck, and Grand Forks. Fargo dominates as the state's largest commercial center with the densest concentration of corporate offices and distribution operations, while Bismarck draws openings tied to state government contractors and healthcare, and Minot's activity reflects its role as a hub for oilfield services and agricultural supply in the Bakken and upper plains region.
Are there remote regional sales representative jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, and they're more common than in many hands-on fields, since regional sales work is largely phone, email, and road-based rather than tied to a fixed facility. About 25% of regional sales representative openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employers who need territory coverage without requiring daily office presence. Account management and inside sales support functions within these roles are the portions most likely to be fully remote.
How can I get hired as a regional sales representative in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as an inside sales coordinator or sales support associate at a North Dakota agricultural cooperative like CHS Inc. or a regional healthcare distributor, then moving into a territory role as accounts open. Sanford Health and regional ag-input companies regularly hire associates with strong communication skills and relevant industry backgrounds over formal sales experience. Completing a North Dakota State University agricultural business or marketing program, or holding a relevant industry certification, strengthens early applications considerably.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in North Dakota?
You can find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in North Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and territory preference, and apply directly to each posting that fits.
