Registered Nurse Case Manager Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a registered nurse case manager in Oklahoma?
You start by holding an active registered nurse license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, which requires passing the NCLEX-RN and meeting the board's application requirements. Most Oklahoma employers then want at least two years of clinical experience before moving into case management. From there, earning the Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential through the Commission for Case Manager Certification strengthens your candidacy and is required by many of the state's larger health systems and managed care organizations.
How much do registered nurse case managers make in Oklahoma?
Registered nurse case managers in Oklahoma earn a median of about $82,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,530 for the lowest 10% to over $106,390 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire registered nurse case managers in Oklahoma?
Employers hiring registered nurse case managers in Oklahoma right now include Carter Healthcare, Incorporated, Elara Caring, and Interim HealthCare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Oklahoma's managed care growth and the expansion of Medicare Advantage plans have made health insurance payers and integrated delivery systems among the most consistent sources of openings in the state.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most registered nurse case manager jobs?
The most registered nurse case manager openings in Oklahoma are in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Norman. Oklahoma City drives the largest share of postings as the home base for INTEGRIS Health, OU Health, and several managed care regional offices, while Tulsa's concentration of Saint Francis Health System and Ascension facilities sustains consistent demand and smaller markets like Lawton follow where anchor hospital systems and workers' compensation payers operate.
Are there remote registered nurse case manager jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely administrative fields, since many case management roles involve on-site patient rounds or facility-based utilization review. About 33% of registered nurse case manager openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and the positions most likely to be fully remote are telephonic case management and prior authorization review roles with managed care payers and insurance carriers.
How can I get hired as a registered nurse case manager in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is transitioning from a bedside clinical role, since Oklahoma employers like INTEGRIS Health and OU Health typically require two years of acute care experience before placing nurses in dedicated case management positions. Roles in utilization review coordination or discharge planning support are common stepping stones available within those same systems. Earning the CCM credential early and seeking out new-grad residency programs that rotate through care coordination departments at larger Tulsa or Oklahoma City hospitals can shorten the timeline considerably.
Where can I find and apply to registered nurse case manager jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to registered nurse case manager jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oklahoma openings updated on an ongoing basis. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
