American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a Tier 4 general surgery role requiring 2 years of recent acute care OR experience and an active WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit performing Tier 4 general surgery cases including HIPEC, Whipple, trauma, colectomy, burns, laparoscopic, Da Vinci Xi, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and organ procurements
- Day/Evening 12-hour shifts scheduled 0640-1910 weekly with potential for one 0940-2210 shift biweekly
- Weekend rotation required
- Weekday call requirement
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR used, required experience
- 13-21 week contract length accepted
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in the OR specialty
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict adult and pediatric rhythm identification criteria

- Parking permit required through university transportation if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
