The Controls Testing Analyst role is a key member of the Business Risk and Controls team within the Fintech Solutions division, supporting the day-to-day business and operational risk management activities across the division. The analyst implements and executes internal testing cycles to confirm control effectiveness and identifies testable attributes for new and existing controls.

This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of Fintech Solutions control testing activities, including test planning, stakeholder notification, walkthrough coordination, evidence review, testing documentation, results communication, issue identification, and remediation follow-up. The position carries high visibility and requires frequent communication with mid-level and senior management across the Fintech Solutions division.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Control testing and assurance
2. Formulates testing plans and executes internal testing cycles to confirm controls perform according to the process, risk and control inventory
3. Tests the operating effectiveness and efficiency of departmental business controls

4. Identifies testable attributes for new and existing controls

5. Risk identification and remediation

6. Identifies and communicates risks, control gaps and unnecessary complexity across business processes

7. Identifies potential business risks, operational and regulatory process deficiencies and improvement opportunities

8. Risk monitoring and reporting

9. Drives risk conversations with leadership and highlights areas of concern and communicates testing results clearly and timely
10. Prepares testing results, findings documentation, memos and related reporting materials for review with business partners, Business Risk and Controls and management

11. Recommends and monitors remediation plans for identified control issues

12. Documentation and process improvement

13. Reviews and updates control narratives and flowcharts with relevant business partners
14. Maintains complete, accurate and well-supported testing documentation, including workbooks, evidence, findings, business responses and final reporting materials

15. Identifies continuous process improvement opportunities and partners with process and control owners to implement them

16. Stakeholder engagement

17. Builds and maintains effective relationships across the Business Risk and Controls team, the Fintech Solutions division and corporate functions
18. Communicates regularly with mid-level and senior management across the division
19. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in functional control testing, compliance control testing, quality assurance, functional process assessment, operational risk, audit or risk analysis.
- Undergraduate degree in a banking-related field, risk management, audit, compliance, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of databases and applications.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Demonstrates strong motivation, accountability and resilience in pursuing goals, delivering high-quality results and continuously improving performance.
- Demonstrates the ability and willingness to learn and use approved artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity, decision-making and work quality, while keeping use compliant with company policies.

- Testing documentation, workpapers, evidence, findings and memos are complete, accurate and well-supported
- Control gaps and risks are identified early and remediated within agreed timelines
- Risk and control documentation, narratives and flowcharts stay current and accurate
- Leadership has clear, timely visibility into control health and emerging risks
- Process improvements reduce unnecessary complexity and strengthen control performance
