Sales Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales analyst in New York?
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a quantitative field is the standard entry point for sales analyst roles in New York. The role carries no state-issued license or registration requirement. New York employers, particularly those in financial services and media, place a premium on demonstrated proficiency with data tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau. Completing a relevant internship at a New York firm or earning a CRM certification strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Which companies hire sales analysts in New York?
Employers hiring sales analysts in New York right now include JPMorganChase, Salesforce, and Citi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial institutions, global media companies, and large consumer goods firms means demand for the role is spread across a wide range of industries rather than a single dominant sector.
Which New York cities have the most sales analyst jobs?
New York, New York, and New York City have the most sales analyst openings in New York. New York City accounts for the large majority of postings given its density of corporate headquarters in finance, media, and retail, while Buffalo and Albany attract hiring from regional insurers, healthcare systems, and state government contractors that maintain dedicated commercial analytics teams.
Are there remote sales analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Sales analyst work is largely desk-based and output-driven, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 38% of sales analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the role's compatibility with distributed teams. Forecasting, reporting, and CRM analysis are the functions most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a sales analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a sales operations coordinator or junior analyst role, which New York employers commonly use as feeder positions into full analyst titles. Large firms such as JPMorgan Chase, Pfizer, and major media companies run rotational analyst programs and new-graduate cohorts that accept candidates without direct experience. Building proficiency in Salesforce and Tableau and completing a capstone or internship project that demonstrates end-to-end reporting gives candidates from adjacent roles, such as marketing coordinator or account associate, a concrete way to demonstrate readiness.
Where can I find and apply to sales analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to sales analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly to each one.
