Marketing Lead Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing lead in New York?
Marketing lead is not a licensed or credentialed role in New York, so the path runs through education and experience rather than a state board. Most New York employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, followed by several years in roles such as marketing coordinator or campaign manager. Building a portfolio of measurable results, proficiency with major marketing platforms, and familiarity with New York's competitive consumer and media landscape will strengthen any application.
How much do marketing leads make in New York?
Marketing leads in New York earn a median of about $181,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,140 for the lowest 10% to over $324,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing leads in New York?
Employers hiring marketing leads in New York right now include Ralph Lauren, Google, and Anthropic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of major consumer brands, financial firms, and media companies means demand for marketing leads stays consistent throughout the year.
Which New York cities have the most marketing lead jobs?
New York, New York City, and Brooklyn are the cities with the most marketing lead openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the headquarters of major consumer brands, media companies, and financial institutions, while Buffalo and Albany generate steady volume through regional corporate offices, healthcare systems, and state agency communications teams.
Are there remote marketing lead jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 36% of marketing lead openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves strategy, content creation, and digital campaign management that does not require a physical presence. Brand strategy and performance marketing roles tend to have the most remote flexibility, while roles tied to events or retail tend to require on-site availability.
How can I get hired as a marketing lead in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a marketing coordinator or marketing associate role at a New York company and moving up after demonstrating measurable campaign results. Large New York employers such as consumer goods companies, media agencies, and financial services firms run rotational marketing programs and new-grad associate tracks worth targeting. Building a portfolio that shows hands-on work with paid search, social campaigns, or email automation, combined with a relevant certification from a recognized platform, gives candidates a concrete edge over those with only academic credentials.
Where can I find and apply to marketing lead jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to marketing lead jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly from the listing.
