Who is Flip?
There are 3 runaway categories in B2B AI — coding, legal, and customer support. We're at the center of the third, with a one-of-one market position and hundreds of diehard fan clients, from Under Armour to Tory Burch to some of the largest healthcare institutions in the country.
The market is dividing into two camps: generic tooling-and-FDE players building custom agents from scratch, and industry-specific solutions winning on client love due to speed of ROI. We're firmly the latter. Retail and healthcare alone represent $5B+ TAMs each, and we're still early.
We built the company on a simple idea: the best way to grow is to have a reference list as long as your customer list. We're a team of 100+ now, with offices in NYC, LA, and the UK. Many people here will tell you it's the best place they've worked and the hardest they've worked. Both are true.
The Role
Events are one of the biggest ways we grow across the three industries we serve — retail, healthcare, and transportation. From major trade shows and conferences to client experiences (Flippin' Legends), brand activations, and internal company events, you'll own Flip's event presence end to end.
You know the B2B trade show world inside and out, love planning the work and working the plan, and hold everyone around you to the same standard. Our creative and content teams bring the ideas — your job is to execute them exceptionally. Not just done, but done right, on time, and on budget.
What You'll Own
- Trade shows & conferences. Own Flip's presence end to end. Identify the right events across retail, healthcare, and transportation, negotiate sponsorships and booth packages, manage all logistics, and ensure Flip shows up in a way that turns heads and drives pipeline. Retail industry trade show experience is a strong plus.
- Pre-event planning. Build detailed event plans and timelines well in advance. Coordinate across sales, marketing, and leadership to align on goals, messaging, and on-site experience. Manage all vendor relationships, contracts, and deadlines.
- Budget management & ROI. Own event budgets from estimate through reconciliation, delivering maximum impact within a reasonable spend. Track and report ROI for every event — leads generated, pipeline influenced, brand impressions, follow-up conversion — and use that data to prioritize the events that deliver.
- On-site execution & team leadership. Lead the team on the ground at every event. Manage setup, staffing, scheduling, and real-time problem solving. Ensure every detail is executed to plan and the Flip team is set up to have meaningful conversations and capture every lead.
- Post-event follow-through. Debrief the team, report results, coordinate with sales on lead follow-up, and document learnings. Every event should make the next one better.
- Brand activations, swag & content. Partner with creative and content to bring activations to life; source and track event merchandise and collateral; coordinate photo, video, and client interview capture for social and post-event promotion.
- Internal events. Plan and coordinate events for the Flip team — company meetings, offsites, industry parties, and client dinners.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years managing B2B trade shows and industry conferences, with end-to-end ownership of logistics, sponsorships, and on-site execution.
- Retail industry familiarity is a strong plus — you know its major trade shows and how buyers show up at them.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills — multiple events and deadlines at once, without dropping a detail.
- Proven budget ownership and ROI fluency. You've built and managed event budgets, negotiated with vendors and organizers, and used performance data to inform future strategy.
- Strong leadership on the ground — comfortable directing teams and vendors in a fast-paced environment, and holding partners accountable without losing the relationship.
- A natural collaborator who translates creative and content teams' ideas into flawless execution.
- Relentless attention to detail. You love a checklist, own every open item, and don't stop until everything is closed out.
- Adaptable and calm under pressure. If you're a chaos-wrangler who brings order to complexity, we want to meet you.

The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, followed by hands-on event or campaign experience. New York has no state-issued license for this role, but employers in the city's competitive market consistently favor candidates with a portfolio of executed events. Internships with New York agencies, corporate marketing departments, or cultural institutions build the credibility that opens full-time doors.
How much do event marketing specialists make in New York?
Event marketing specialists in New York earn a median of about $98,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,070 for the lowest 10% to over $165,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire event marketing specialists in New York?
Employers hiring event marketing specialists in New York right now include Flip, Stream, and Triomics, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Which New York cities have the most event marketing specialist jobs?
New York and Woodbury have the most event marketing specialist openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its density of corporate headquarters, advertising agencies, and large-scale venues, while White Plains and Long Island draw demand from regional corporate campuses and suburban conference centers tied to companies with tri-state operations.
Are there remote event marketing specialist jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're limited. About 43% of event marketing specialist openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting that much of the role involves on-site event execution, vendor coordination, and in-person production work. The tasks most likely to be done remotely are campaign planning, content development, and post-event reporting.
