We develop messaging, shape the brand, and bring our platform to life through thoughtful, compelling content. Our team spans Revenue Marketing, Product Marketing, and Brand Marketing, and works cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Business Development, and Design to drive growth and build trust.
What you'll do
Brex is seeking a strategic, data-driven Growth Marketing Lead, Programmatic & Video to shape how we invest across programmatic display, YouTube, CTV, online video, audio, and emerging channels.
You'll own a high-impact media portfolio spanning Brand and Growth, with the opportunity to define how these programs work together, prove their incremental impact, and identify where Brex should invest next. You'll combine deep programmatic expertise with strong measurement, audience, and experimentation instincts to turn media insights into smarter investment decisions and scalable growth. Critically, you know how to build brand through a performance lens, connecting upper-funnel investments to near-term impact and long-term value creation.
This is a highly visible role for someone excited to build: evolving our media operating model, strengthening our technology and partner ecosystem, and helping establish the systems and capabilities that will shape the next phase of Brex's paid media strategy.
Where you'll work
This role will be based in our New York City office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. Team members are expected to work in-office three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Brex also offers the flexibility to work remotely for up to four weeks per year, in one-week increments.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy, investment, and performance across programmatic display, video (CTV, OLV, YouTube), audio, and emerging digital channels across Brand + Growth.
- Evolve Brex's media operating model and partner ecosystem, including DSP/vendor evaluation, onboarding, agency and partner management, and development of scalable processes and best practices as ownership and capabilities evolve.
- Build integrated audience strategies using first-party data, intent, contextual, modeled, and third-party signals to reach priority audiences across the funnel.
- Build the measurement framework for the portfolio, partnering with Analytics and Data Science on attribution, incrementality, geo/holdout tests, brand lift, and approaches that connect upper-funnel investment to downstream business outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Brand, PMM, and Design to translate campaign objectives and performance insights into media strategy, creative requirements, testing plans, and actionable learnings.
- Shape the future of the portfolio by identifying emerging channels, technologies, and AI-enabled opportunities and bringing clear recommendations into quarterly and annual planning.
- Build scalable governance and operating standards across programmatic media, including QA, risk controls, and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in growth or performance marketing, with deep expertise in programmatic media and video/CTV advertising.
- Demonstrated experience owning a multi-channel media portfolio and significant budgets, including investment planning, forecasting, optimization, and scaling decisions.
- Deep knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem and major DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, or similar), including bidding, inventory, audience strategy, brand safety, and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of full-funnel B2B marketing and experience connecting awareness and consideration investments to downstream business outcomes.
- Advanced fluency in measurement, attribution, and incrementality, including experimentation design, lift studies, holdouts/geo tests.
- Demonstrated ability to build audience architectures using first-party, contextual, intent, modeled, and third-party data.
- Strong creative judgment and experience partnering with Brand and Creative teams on video, display, and performance creative strategy and testing.
- Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead complex cross-functional initiatives, and mentor other marketers.
- Highly autonomous, strategic, and comfortable building new capabilities and operating models in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus Points
- Experience in fin-tech marketing or marketing to finance professionals.
- Familiarity with product-led growth or hybrid demand models.
- Experience evolving media operating models and building greater in-house programmatic, video, or CTV capabilities.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $167,240 - $209,050. Growth Lead Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth lead in New York?
Growth lead roles in New York have no state-issued license or exam, so the path runs through demonstrated performance in growth, marketing, or product roles. New York employers typically look for candidates who have owned a measurable growth metric, managed budget, and worked cross-functionally. Starting in growth marketing, product analytics, or lifecycle marketing at a New York startup or established tech company builds the foundation. A portfolio of experiments, attribution work, or case studies from prior roles substantially strengthens a candidacy.
Which companies hire growth leads in New York?
Employers hiring growth leads in New York right now include Google, Ownwell, and Brex, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's dense concentration of fintech, media, and direct-to-consumer brands means growth lead demand stays active year-round across both high-growth startups and mature enterprises headquartered in the city.
Which New York cities have the most growth lead jobs?
New York, New York State, and Buffalo have the most growth lead openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the vast majority of the state's tech, fintech, and consumer brand headquarters, while Brooklyn has developed its own cluster of DTC and media companies, and cities like Buffalo and Albany see openings primarily through regional financial services firms and health-tech employers.
Are there remote growth lead jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of growth lead openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting that most growth work is analytical and digital by nature. The most remote-friendly portions of the role are experimentation analysis, paid channel management, and lifecycle strategy, while cross-functional sprint work and executive reporting tend to pull teams toward in-office days.
How can I get hired as a growth lead in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a New York startup or scale-up as a growth marketing associate or data analyst, where ownership of small experiments is common early on. Many New York-based consumer and SaaS companies run rotational programs that move junior hires through acquisition, retention, and monetization functions. Lateral moves from paid media coordinator, product analyst, or CRM specialist roles are common, and building a documented experiment log or a personal growth project with measurable results gives candidates without formal growth titles a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to growth lead jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to growth lead jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferred location or work arrangement, and apply directly through each listing.
