- Deliver a compelling, concise platform introduction tailored to each advisor's practice.
- Conduct structured discovery calls to build rich advisor profiles including AUM, client demographics, alts experience, product preferences, and compliance constraints.
- Execute multi-touch follow-up sequences via phone, email, and digital content to maintain pipeline momentum between field visits.
- Conduct regular field visits to advisor offices, branch locations, and home offices within your assigned territory to deepen relationships initiated via phone.
- Represent iCapital at regional advisor events, due diligence meetings, fund roadshows, and industry conferences.
- Partner with internal product specialists and external fund managers to deliver in-person educational sessions, platform demonstrations, and investment committee presentations.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with branch managers, team leads, and center-of-influence advisors to expand platform adoption within key firms.
- Maintain a segmented pipeline of advisors at each stage of the funnel, prioritizing field time for highest-potential opportunities.
- Flag high-value advisors for escalation to Senior Relationship Managers and coordinate warm handoffs.
- Track and report weekly on call activity, field meetings, registration progress, and conversion metrics.
- Log all call activity, field meetings, contact details, advisor profiles, and next steps in Salesforce in real time; same day for calls, within 24 hours for field activity.
- Maintain complete, accurate CRM records for every advisor in your territory.
- Use CRM and sequencing data to identify whitespace within your territory and optimize the balance of inside vs. field time.
- Share market intelligence and advisor feedback with the broader Distribution, Product, and Marketing teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
- 3–6+ years of sales experience in financial services, with a combination of inside and/or field sales exposure is strongly preferred

Sales Assistant Jobs in Connecticut: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales assistant in Connecticut?
Most sales assistant roles in Connecticut require a high school diploma and some customer service or retail experience, with no state-issued license needed for general retail or inside sales. Candidates pursuing insurance-related sales support positions should be aware that Connecticut requires a license issued by the Connecticut Insurance Department, which involves a pre-licensing course and a state exam. Starting in retail, banking, or customer service provides the most common path into a dedicated sales assistant role.
Which companies hire sales assistants in Connecticut?
Connecticut sales assistant roles are posted by Target, icapital, and EWC Growth and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Connecticut's concentration of insurance carriers, financial services headquarters, and regional retail chains makes it one of the more active states for ongoing sales support hiring.
Which Connecticut cities have the most sales assistant jobs?
Stamford, Farmington, and Connecticut have the most sales assistant openings in Connecticut right now. Hartford's density of insurance and financial services companies drives much of the demand, while Stamford's corporate headquarters corridor and Bridgeport's retail and healthcare sectors add significant volume, making even smaller surrounding communities like Greenwich and New Haven competitive hiring markets.
Are there remote sales assistant jobs in Connecticut?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many sales assistant roles involve in-person customer interaction. About 20% of sales assistant openings tied to Connecticut are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting a subset of the market. The roles most likely to be remote or hybrid are inside sales support, financial services client assistance, and administrative sales coordination positions.
How can I get hired as a sales assistant in Connecticut with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is applying to retail associate or customer service representative roles at Connecticut employers like Macy's, CVS Health, or regional credit unions, then moving into a designated sales assistant title after a few months on the floor. Large insurance employers such as Aetna and The Hartford periodically run entry-level sales support training programs in Hartford. A completed pre-licensing course through the Connecticut Insurance Department, even before sitting for the exam, signals commitment and gives candidates an edge over others without credentials.
Where can I find and apply to sales assistant jobs in Connecticut?
You can find and apply to sales assistant jobs in Connecticut on Migrate Mate, which lists current Connecticut openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, preferred city, and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
