· Develop strategic partnerships and agent relationships in U.S. Gulf Coast to support regional growth.
· Grow existing accounts through additional hardware, software upgrades, service agreements, and support contracts.
· Collaborate with Exail’s U.S. Sales and Support teams and engineering, project management, operations, and commercial teams in France.
· Monitor customer needs, competitors, market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments.
· Represent Exail at trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, networking events, and product demonstrations.
What You'll Bring:
· 5+ years of sales and business development experience in maritime, offshore
energy, subsea, hydrographic, positioning, robotics, or a related technology sector.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent
relevant education and professional experience will also be considered.
· Experience selling or supporting technical solutions related to navigation, positioning, subsea imagery, robotics, or maritime autonomy.
· Strong knowledge of the offshore energy market and experience working with offshore operators, EPCs, subsea engineering firms, marine contractors, survey companies, drilling organizations, or similar customers.
· Existing relationships within the offshore Oil & Gas, marine technology, subsea,
survey, or positioning industries are strongly preferred.
· Working knowledge of technologies such as LBL, USBL, INS, AHRS, USVs, autonomous maritime platforms, subsea positioning, imagery, survey, or offshore navigation systems.

Sales Business Development Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales business development job in Houston?
Focus your search on Houston's three strongest hiring sectors: energy services, healthcare technology, and commercial real estate. Roles concentrate in the Energy Corridor, Midtown, and the Galleria area, so knowing those submarkets gives you a genuine edge in interviews. Candidates who can demonstrate consultative selling experience and an existing network in any of those industries move fastest through local hiring pipelines.
Which companies hire sales business developments in Houston?
Companies currently hiring sales business developments in Houston include Shamrock Trading Corporation, Exail, and Alleima, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's hiring mix leans heavily toward energy services firms, hospital systems, and regional SaaS companies with Gulf Coast operations.
Are there remote sales business development jobs in Houston?
Yes, though sales business development roles are less remote-friendly than purely analytical positions because client meetings and relationship-building are central to the work. About 77% of sales business development openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the hybrid share dominated by tech and SaaS employers headquartered downtown or in the Galleria corridor. Purely remote openings tend to cover inside sales or account management functions rather than field-facing business development.
How can I get a sales business development job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is through a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of the city's mid-size energy technology or healthcare IT firms, which regularly hire candidates with strong communication skills over direct experience. The Texas Medical Center and the cluster of oilfield services companies along Highway 6 both run structured sales training programs. Familiarity with CRM tools and a willingness to prospect in Houston's dominant verticals accelerates hiring decisions significantly.
Which industries hire the most sales business developments in Houston?
Houston sales business development roles concentrate in Technology & Software and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's status as the global energy capital and home to the Texas Medical Center means those two sectors alone generate a disproportionate share of local business development demand year-round.
