Overview:
We are seeking an experienced sales executive with a minimum of 10 years sales experience, particularly within the data analytics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of VAST Data's groundbreaking data platform product. This role requires exceptional evangelism skills, deep understanding of the database industry landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand VAST Data's customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts.
- Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of VAST Data's innovative data platform.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and customer success to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment with company objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to effectively position VAST Data's solutions in the market.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to management.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for VAST Data, representing the company with professionalism and integrity at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional growth through ongoing learning and development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the database industry.
- Excellent evangelism skills with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of complex technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, storage systems, and data management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.
