Overview
As an Inside Sales Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant/Processor, you’ll support borrowers and loan officers throughout the mortgage process. You’ll help gather and review loan documentation, communicate next steps, and keep applications moving while following lending requirements. Your impact: Accurate, timely processing helps borrowers understand their options and supports loan officers in delivering responsive service.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loan origination by collecting, organizing, and reviewing borrower information and loan documentation.
- Support credit analysis and underwriting by checking application details for completeness and escalating discrepancies.
- Communicate clearly with clients, loan officers, and internal teams about application status and required documents.
- Help process conventional, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), and Veterans Affairs (VA) loans; maintain familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines.
- Follow Truth in Lending Act (TILA), TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID), Fair Housing, and other loan compliance requirements; use Encompass and Microsoft Office to maintain records.
Requirements
- Experience in financial services, banking, lending, mortgage services, mortgage servicing, or loan processing is helpful; loan officer experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of mortgages, loan origination, loan compliance, financial compliance, banking regulatory compliance, and industry financial regulations.
- Strong customer service, client communication, and internal communication skills, with careful attention to loan documentation and escrow details.
- Basic math and 10-key typing skills; comfort reviewing figures and performing routine calculations.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and maintain accuracy while handling sensitive information and supporting compliant loan processing.
Pay: $3,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
