Sales Training Manager Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales training manager in Kentucky?
The typical path into a sales training manager role in Kentucky starts with several years in a direct sales position, followed by a move into a training coordinator or sales enablement specialist role. No state-issued license is required for this position in Kentucky. Employers across Louisville and Lexington commonly prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree and, increasingly, a certification from organizations like the Association for Talent Development to demonstrate formal instructional design competency.
How much do sales training managers make in Kentucky?
Sales training managers in Kentucky earn a median of about $112,750 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,140 for the lowest 10% to over $188,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales training managers in Kentucky?
Companies currently hiring sales training managers in Kentucky include Anytime Fitness, Helpware, and Windows Plus, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kentucky's mix of large corporate headquarters, regional distribution operations, and manufacturing employers creates steady demand for training professionals who can build scalable field sales programs.
Which Kentucky cities have the most sales training manager jobs?
Lexington, Louisville, and Franklin account for the largest share of sales training manager openings in Kentucky. Louisville drives the most volume as the state's corporate hub, home to major employers in healthcare, logistics, and consumer goods, while Lexington's concentration of regional headquarters and the northern Kentucky corridor's proximity to Cincinnati-area firms add meaningful depth to the market.
Are there remote sales training manager jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and more than many comparable roles, since sales training managers regularly design and deliver virtual programs for distributed sales teams. About 50% of sales training manager openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly the field has adopted virtual facilitation tools. Curriculum development and e-learning authoring work in particular tends to be the most location-flexible part of the role.
How can I get hired as a sales training manager in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from an inside sales or account management role into a junior training coordinator position. Louisville-area employers in healthcare distribution and financial services, including operations tied to Humana and regional insurance carriers, often hire sales coaches or onboarding specialists as stepping-stone roles. Building a portfolio of training materials or earning an Association for Talent Development certification gives candidates a concrete credential that offsets limited formal training experience for Kentucky hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to sales training manager jobs in Kentucky?
You can find and apply to sales training manager jobs in Kentucky on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kentucky openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to each one.
