Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards, incorporating topics such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences.
• Design interactive lessons that cater to various learning styles and utilize educational technology tools to enhance student engagement.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, including dissections and microbiology activities, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and project-based assessments.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to exploration and inquiry.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing IT-integrated lessons to foster interdisciplinary learning.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to support students’ personal growth, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds or with special education needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience teaching middle school students in a classroom setting with strong classroom management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific disciplines including biology (cell biology, genetics, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry, calculus), and mathematics (algebra, differential equations).
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards and incorporates learning technology effectively.
• Experience with laboratory activities such as dissection and research laboratory work; familiarity with safety procedures is essential.
• Strong communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parents or guardians.
• Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of educational compliance regulations and experience working within private or Montessori school environments is advantageous.
