Position Overview
Great Beginnings Academy is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position will teach a combination of science courses based on enrollment and scheduling. Grade levels are to be determined but may include elementary, middle, and high school science.
Potential courses include:

We are looking for an educator who can spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students develop a strong understanding of the world through hands-on learning, inquiry, and scientific investigation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction.
- Create lesson plans aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Conduct safe and meaningful classroom and laboratory activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
- Foster a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administration.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Integrate technology appropriately to support instruction while emphasizing teacher-led learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Education, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or a related field preferred).
- Florida teaching certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching multiple science disciplines is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Passion for helping students develop scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to teach multiple grade levels and adapt instruction accordingly.
