Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns.
- Write detailed service orders, including necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, and auto body repair.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance services.
- Upsell additional services and products to enhance customer value while meeting dealership sales goals.
- Collaborate with service technicians to communicate customer needs clearly and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Prepare accurate auto estimates using automotive service management software.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of current automotive repair techniques, parts, warranties, and dealership promotions.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, costs, and timelines clearly to clients.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or auto service management background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems such as transmissions, oil changes, auto body repairs, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, brake systems, air brakes, alignments, and vehicle maintenance.
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers.
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is a plus for better understanding of technician recommendations.
- Proven ability in auto sales or automobile sales is advantageous.
