ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of the Manager, oversees daily operational workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of all assigned projects and departmental initiatives. Coordinates task assignments, prioritizes workload based on departmental needs, and serves as a resource to staff to resolve routine issues. Maintains accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment, performs regular audits to ensure availability, and initiates restocking and procurement as needed. Collects, sanitizes, inspects, and prepares equipment for safe use in accordance with infection control and regulatory guidelines. Distributes equipment to designated areas, tracks usage, and coordinates equipment maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness. Assists in identifying process improvements and contributes to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Communication/Collaboration:
Actively communicates with team members and leadership to ensure coordinated, efficient task completion in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborates effectively with management and peers to meet project timelines, resolve workflow barriers, and support overall departmental goals.
Participates in daily huddles, contributes to a culture of respect and accountability, and supports a team-based approach to service delivery.
Delivery:
Promptly and accurately delivers equipment and supplies to designated areas, ensuring safe handling and adherence to delivery schedules.
Confirms delivery accuracy and placement according to department protocols and end-user needs.
Inventory:
Continuously monitors and evaluates departmental inventory levels to ensure availability of critical supplies.
Identifies restocking needs, anticipates usage trends, and submits timely and accurate supply requisitions to avoid stockouts or delays in service.
Assists in maintaining a well-organized supply system in compliance with safety and storage standards.
Training:
Supports onboarding of new staff by providing structured training, shadowing, and ongoing guidance to ensure competency and confidence in departmental tasks.
Clearly communicates updates to processes, policies, and best practices to ensure team-wide understanding and compliance.
Acts as a resource for peers and contributes to a continuous learning environment.
Checking:
Conducts thorough daily checks of equipment and supplies for functionality, expiration dates, and correct stock levels.
Identifies and removes expired or damaged items, and communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
Cleaning:
Cleans, disinfects, and inspects equipment and carts in accordance with infection prevention standards and safety guidelines.
Prepares clean equipment for immediate restocking or delivery, ensuring readiness for use and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Restocking:
Performs daily restocking of department inventory and supply carts, ensuring items are replenished according to par levels and usage patterns.
Assembles supply kits and ensures accuracy and completeness to support uninterrupted clinical workflows.
Collection:
Safely collects used or soiled equipment and supply carts while wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when applicable.
Ensures items are returned to designated cleaning areas for proper sanitation, minimizing cross-contamination and maintaining infection control standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: N/A.
1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.
