Service Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a service specialist in Florida?
Most service specialist roles in Florida require a high school diploma plus demonstrated experience in a customer service or technical support environment. Specialized tracks, such as financial services or insurance, may require passing the Florida Department of Financial Services licensing exam. Healthcare-adjacent service roles often look for a Certified Customer Service Professional credential. Starting in a generalist service representative role and building industry-specific product knowledge is the most common path into specialist-level work in Florida.
Which companies hire service specialists in Florida?
Companies currently hiring service specialists in Florida include Sherwin-Williams, O'Reilly Auto Parts, and Select Physical Therapy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of healthcare systems, financial institutions, and large retail chains means consistent openings across multiple specialties and experience levels.
Which Florida cities have the most service specialist jobs?
Orlando, Miami, and Tampa have the most service specialist openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense financial services and hospitality industries, Tampa draws volume from its growing tech and insurance sectors, and Orlando's tourism and healthcare anchor employers generate steady service-role demand across the metro.
Are there remote service specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they depend heavily on the specialty. About 41% of service specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated in software support, insurance claims, and financial account management. Roles involving equipment maintenance, on-site client visits, or in-person patient interaction remain overwhelmingly on-site.
How can I get hired as a service specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a frontline service representative or customer associate role at a large Florida employer. Companies like Publix, AdventHealth, and Raymond James regularly hire associates with no prior specialist experience and promote from within. Community college certifications in customer relationship management or IT helpdesk support strengthen your application, and Florida's tourism and hospitality sector accepts motivated candidates with minimal background for entry service roles that build core skills quickly.
Where can I find and apply to service specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to service specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and experience levels. Search the roles that match your background and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
