Employers like Chick-fil-A, Harris Teeter, and Publix typically provide on-the-job training. Food service roles may require a North Carolina food handler certificate, which is obtained through a short county-approved course. Customer service experience in any capacity, whether retail, hospitality, or community work, strengthens any application significantly.
