Join a Company that Empowers you to Build your Future
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader on a domain product team delivering high-impact, full-stack business applications and ServiceNow solutions. Our product teams own their systems end-to-end in a self-service model built on capabilities from central platform teams — IDP golden-path templates, shared CI/CD, and reusable infrastructure modules. You will drive architecture within your product domain, champion effective use of platform capabilities, and act as a key feedback partner to platform teams — while mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of full-stack systems using TypeScript/React and Go.
Own complex ServiceNow development initiatives, including custom applications and enterprise integrations within your domain.
Drive your team's adoption of self-service platform capabilities — IDP templates (e.g., Backstage), shared CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform modules — and establish team standards on top of them.
Partner with central platform teams: provide feedback, influence roadmaps, and contribute improvements to shared templates and modules where appropriate.
Lead the development of agentic and AI product capabilities — AI agents, MCP servers, and LLM-powered features — ideally leveraging AWS Bedrock.
Own production readiness for your team's services: observability, reliability, security, and performance.
Mentor and develop engineers through design reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
Partner with product stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of production systems at scale.
Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React, and strong backend experience with Go.
Deep understanding of system design, API architecture, security, and performance optimization.
Proven success operating in a DevOps/self-service environment where product teams own their infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
Demonstrated technical leadership: driving projects end-to-end, setting standards, and mentoring engineers.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven ServiceNow development and integration experience — highly preferred.
Deep CI/CD expertise (GitHub Actions or similar) — highly preferred.
Strong infrastructure-as-code expertise (Terraform or similar) — highly preferred.
Experience self-serving through internal developer portals such as Backstage (golden paths, software templates, service catalogs).
Production experience building agentic/AI systems (AI agents, MCP servers, LLM applications); hands-on AWS Bedrock experience is a strong differentiator.

Software Developer Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a software developer in Florida?
Florida does not require a state-issued license to work as a software developer. The standard path is a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology from one of Florida's public universities such as the University of Florida, Florida State University, or the University of Central Florida, followed by building a portfolio of projects and applying to entry-level roles in the state's technology, defense, or financial services sectors.
How much do software developers make in Florida?
Software developers in Florida earn a median of about $130,980 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $80,050 for the lowest 10% to over $204,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire software developers in Florida?
Employers hiring software developers in Florida right now include Speechify, Northrop Grumman, and L3Harris, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's mix of defense contractors, fintech companies, and large healthcare systems means software developer demand is distributed across a wider range of industries than in many other states.
Which Florida cities have the most software developer jobs?
Tampa, Melbourne, and Jacksonville account for the most software developer openings in Florida, reflecting where the state's largest technology employers, defense contractors, and financial services firms maintain their engineering operations. Smaller markets like Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale also carry consistent volume driven by regional corporate headquarters and growing startup ecosystems.
Are there remote software developer jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 67% of software developer openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how well the work translates to distributed teams. Backend, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering roles tend to be the most consistently remote-eligible across Florida employers.
How can I get hired as a software developer in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or co-op during a computer science or engineering program at a Florida university, which many large employers like Lockheed Martin and Cognizant use as a direct pipeline into full-time roles. Candidates without a degree can gain an edge through a recognized coding bootcamp, a strong GitHub portfolio, or vendor certifications in AWS or Google Cloud, and then target associate developer or quality assurance roles at Florida-based technology services firms as a starting point.
Where can I find and apply to software developer jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to software developer jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring across the state. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
