Solutions Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions analyst in Texas?
Most solutions analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field. Texas does not issue a state license for this role, so employers focus on vendor certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, or SAP Certified Associate. Building experience through IT support, business analysis, or systems administration roles at Texas-based technology firms or large enterprises is the most common path into the position.
How much do solutions analysts make in Texas?
Solutions analysts in Texas earn a median of about $107,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,530 for the lowest 10% to over $168,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire solutions analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring solutions analysts in Texas right now include ENGIE, WM, and Citi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and energy companies means consistent demand well beyond the largest tech firms.
Which Texas cities have the most solutions analyst jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Dallas have the most solutions analyst openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth drives volume through its dense cluster of corporate headquarters and consulting firms, Houston's energy and healthcare industries generate strong demand, and Austin's fast-growing technology sector, anchored by companies like Dell and Apple's expanding campuses, adds a steady share of openings across the state.
Are there remote solutions analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of solutions analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how central documentation, stakeholder calls, and platform configuration are to the role. Requirements gathering and solution design work translates well to distributed teams, making fully remote arrangements more accessible here than in hands-on technical or field-based roles.
How can I get hired as a solutions analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior business analyst or systems analyst role, which large Texas employers such as Accenture's Dallas and Houston offices, Texas Health Resources, and H-E-B's technology division use as a pipeline into solutions work. Completing a Salesforce Certified Business Analyst or Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification before applying gives candidates a concrete, verifiable edge. Lateral moves from IT help desk, data analyst, or project coordinator roles are common starting points, and many candidates build a portfolio of process-mapping or requirements documents from coursework or volunteer projects to demonstrate readiness.
Where can I find and apply to solutions analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to solutions analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
