Solutions Analyst Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions analyst in New York?
Most solutions analyst roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field. New York does not impose a state-issued license for this role, so hiring decisions rest on education, demonstrated analytical skills, and relevant platform experience. Candidates who earn vendor certifications such as Salesforce Certified Business Analyst or SAP Certified Associate strengthen their applications considerably in New York's competitive financial and enterprise technology markets.
How much do solutions analysts make in New York?
Solutions analysts in New York earn a median of about $109,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,220 for the lowest 10% to over $171,360 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire solutions analysts in New York?
Employers hiring solutions analysts in New York right now include Medidata Solutions, Apollo Insurance Solutions Group LP, and Databricks, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial institutions, insurance carriers, and large healthcare systems means demand for solutions analysts remains steady across both corporate headquarters and regional operations statewide.
Which New York cities have the most solutions analyst jobs?
The cities with the most solutions analyst openings in New York are New York, Brooklyn, and New York City. New York City dominates because of its dense cluster of financial services firms, technology companies, and corporate headquarters, while secondary markets like Buffalo and White Plains reflect the regional operations and back-office centers that large national employers maintain outside Manhattan.
Are there remote solutions analyst jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since solutions analyst work is largely desk-based and centers on documentation, stakeholder calls, and system configuration rather than on-site operations. About 37% of solutions analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the shift toward distributed delivery teams across financial services and enterprise software clients. Requirements gathering and client-facing implementation work are the tasks most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a solutions analyst in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or junior business analyst role within a New York financial services firm, technology consultancy, or large hospital system, where formal analyst development programs exist for recent graduates. Employers such as large New York banks and regional insurers regularly recruit from four-year programs and offer rotational tracks. Building a portfolio of process maps, requirements documents, or a completed Salesforce or JIRA certification gives candidates without work history a concrete advantage in screening conversations.
Where can I find and apply to solutions analyst jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to solutions analyst jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
