In this high-impact leadership role, your success won't be measured by the number of charts you produce, but by the clarity of the decisions you enable, the speed of action you catalyze, and the measurable improvement you bring to revenue, retention, and publication health across North America.

- Build predictive models to evaluate market density, customer behavior, and expansion opportunities across thousands of local communities, optimizing long-term business planning.
- Collaborate directly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Product leadership to define key metrics, eliminate performance gaps, and drive revenue growth.
- Establish attribution models, consistent KPIs, and a disciplined test-and-learn program to rigorously evaluate strategic initiatives, sales campaigns, and operational changes.
- Build, mentor, and direct a high-performing analytics team while cultivating an organizational culture that uses data to clarify priorities, challenge assumptions, and sharpen execution.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience & Leadership: 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, strategy, or technical leadership, including 2+ years directly managing analytics, BI, or data science teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of revenue drivers, customer acquisition, retention, sales productivity, and unit economics, with a proven ability to turn complex datasets into executive-level recommendations.
- Technical & Analytical Depth: Hands-on experience constructing enterprise KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, forecasting models, and performance management workflows using modern data infrastructure and BI platforms.
- Tool & System Expertise: Proficiency in modern data environments, BI platforms, CRMs, ATS platforms, marketing automation tools, and project management applications (such as Monday.com).
- Cross-Functional & Executive Influence: Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite and senior leadership to shape enterprise strategy, guide decision-making, and instill operational discipline.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Advanced Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Targeted Industry Background: Prior experience in media, publishing, advertising, local-market operations, multi-location enterprise models, franchise platforms, or marketplace business models.
- Print & Digital Product Depth: Direct experience managing analytics environments that span both print and digital products, including ad revenue metrics, campaign performance, audience engagement, and local market economics.
- Advanced Analytics Expertise: Practical mastery in predictive modeling, customer segmentation, attribution modeling, experimental testing frameworks, and market opportunity mapping.
- Infrastructure Modernization: Track record of scaling analytics operating models, modernizing data pipelines/infrastructure, and launching self-service reporting in fast-paced, growth-oriented companies.

Strategy Director Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy director in Wisconsin?
Most strategy directors in Wisconsin reach the role through a combination of a business or economics degree and progressive experience in consulting, corporate planning, or operations. Wisconsin does not require a state-issued license to work as a strategy director. Large employers in Milwaukee's financial services sector and Madison's health technology corridor typically promote from senior manager or associate director roles, and an MBA from a program like Wisconsin School of Business strengthens candidacy considerably.
Which companies hire strategy directors in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin strategy director roles are posted by Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, QUAD, and Accuray and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Wisconsin's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional health systems, and established manufacturers means openings appear across a range of industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most strategy director jobs?
Madison, Neenah, and Sussex have the most strategy director openings in Wisconsin right now. Milwaukee dominates because it is home to financial services giants and insurance headquarters that maintain large corporate strategy teams, while Madison's concentration of health technology firms and state government institutions drives steady demand there, and Green Bay's manufacturing base accounts for openings in the smaller markets.
Are there remote strategy director jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than many senior roles, since strategy work is largely analytical and presentation-based rather than tied to a physical site. About 50% of strategy director openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how well the role travels outside a traditional office. Long-range planning, competitive research, and executive briefing preparation are the parts of the role most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a strategy director in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a strategy analyst or associate consultant role at one of Wisconsin's larger employers, then building toward director over several years. Milwaukee-based financial services firms and Madison health technology companies regularly hire analysts from business programs at UW-Madison and Marquette University. Lateral moves from corporate finance, product management, or operations planning are common stepping stones, and an MBA or demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional initiative gives candidates a meaningful edge.
Where can I find and apply to strategy director jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to strategy director jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, and other Wisconsin locations. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
