Developmental Aspects - The intern will have direct involvement with Federal Acquisition Regulations, evaluation of suppliers, and the execution of the required documentation internally and externally with suppliers. Communication skills will be developed when engaging internal customer as well as the supplier community. The intern will be exposed to and required to perform various tasks that will enhance analytical skills. The intern will participate in team meetings and continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in vendor outreach activities and develop the appropriate vendor profile information.
- Participate in the development and maturation of departmental metrics in Power BI
- Participate in departmental continuous improvement projects, including metrics and enhanced use of AI
- Support to Supply Chain team as required during peak business period
- Compliance reviews of procurement folders
Requirements:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Rising junior or above
- Seasoned in using Microsoft suite and products
- Creativity in problem solving and alternative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others on projects and assignments to achieve optimal results
- Ability to quickly learn the SGT business and understand the values proposition to SGT
- Proven ability to present information in both 1 on 1 and large group settings.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
