Mid Level Supply Chain Planning Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level supply chain planning job?
Position your experience around ownership and outcomes, not just tasks. Highlight projects where you managed a planning cycle, resolved a supply-demand imbalance, or improved forecast accuracy with measurable results. Tailor your resume to show cross-functional collaboration and independent judgment. Recruiters at this level want to see that you can operate without close supervision and have already dealt with real supply chain complexity.
Which companies hire mid level supply chain plannings?
Companies hiring mid level supply chain plannings right now include Amazon, EY, and Asurion, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large manufacturers, retailers, and consumer goods companies that need planners who can own a product category or regional supply plan with limited oversight.
Are there remote mid level supply chain planning jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and function. About 0% of mid level supply chain planning openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with demand planning and S&OP roles more likely to offer flexibility than roles tied to physical operations or warehouse coordination. Filtering by work setting when you search helps narrow options quickly.
How do I move up to a mid level supply chain planning role?
The progression from entry level to mid level is built on deepening technical skills and accumulating ownership. Early in your career, focus on mastering planning tools, understanding inventory dynamics, and contributing to forecasting processes. Over time, take on projects that require you to make recommendations independently, quantify your impact, and coordinate across procurement, logistics, or sales teams. Demonstrated ownership of a planning outcome is what separates mid level candidates from junior ones.
Which industries hire the most mid level supply chain plannings?
Mid Level supply chain planning roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive demand because they manage complex, high-volume inventory flows where experienced planners who can balance service levels, costs, and lead time variability add direct operational value.
