Talent Coordinator Jobs in Kentucky: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent coordinator in Kentucky?
Most Kentucky employers hire talent coordinators with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, though some accept equivalent experience. Kentucky does not require a state-issued license for this role. Earning the Professional in Human Resources credential through HRCI or the SHRM-CP through the Society for Human Resource Management gives candidates a recognized edge. The Kentucky SHRM chapter network in Louisville and Lexington offers local development resources for those entering the field.
Which companies hire talent coordinators in Kentucky?
Employers hiring talent coordinators in Kentucky right now include Humana, Texas Roadhouse, and University of Kentucky, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kentucky's mix of large healthcare systems, manufacturing headquarters, and public universities means talent coordinator openings appear across a broader range of industries than many comparably sized states.
Which Kentucky cities have the most talent coordinator jobs?
Louisville, Lexington, and Bowling Green have the most talent coordinator openings in Kentucky. Louisville leads because it is home to major healthcare employers and corporate headquarters including Humana and Norton Healthcare, while Lexington's concentration of university, healthcare, and equine industry employers sustains steady demand, and Bowling Green's growing automotive and logistics sector has expanded its talent operations in recent years.
Are there remote talent coordinator jobs in Kentucky?
Yes, and more than many HR-adjacent roles, since much of the coordination work involves digital communication, applicant tracking systems, and video interviews that translate well to remote settings. About 100% of talent coordinator openings tied to Kentucky are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the role. Scheduling, candidate communication, and reporting tasks are most commonly performed remotely, while onsite interview facilitation and new-hire orientation typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a talent coordinator in Kentucky with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a talent coordinator role from an adjacent administrative or HR assistant position at a Kentucky employer. Large healthcare systems such as Norton Healthcare and Baptist Health regularly hire HR coordinators and staffing assistants who can transition into talent coordination. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville post entry-level HR associate roles that serve the same function. Completing the SHRM-CP or PHR credential before applying, even without full experience, signals commitment and often moves a resume past initial screening.
