Technical Program Manager Jobs in Mountain View: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technical program manager job in Mountain View?
Focus your search on Mountain View's North Bayshore district and the Castro Street corridor, where semiconductor, AI infrastructure, and enterprise software employers concentrate. Companies in these sectors look for candidates with hands-on experience managing hardware or platform engineering programs, not just software delivery. Familiarity with chip design or ML infrastructure workflows gives you a real edge over generalist applicants targeting this market.
Which companies hire technical program managers in Mountain View?
Mountain View technical program manager roles are posted by Google, Intuit, and DeepMind and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local employer mix leans heavily toward semiconductor companies, AI research organizations, and large enterprise software firms that run multi-team hardware and platform programs.
Are there remote technical program manager jobs in Mountain View?
Yes, though availability depends on the program type. About 33% of technical program manager openings tied to Mountain View are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's mix of cross-functional coordination and on-site hardware or lab requirements. Roles focused on software platform delivery and vendor coordination tend to allow the most remote flexibility, while hardware-facing programs in Mountain View typically require on-site presence.
How can I get a technical program manager job in Mountain View with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Mountain View is moving into a technical program manager role from an adjacent position at a local employer, such as a program coordinator, engineering project lead, or associate product manager role at a semiconductor or AI company. Several Mountain View firms run rotational or associate program manager tracks designed to build TPM skills from within. Demonstrating comfort with engineering workflows and cross-functional dependencies matters more than a formal TPM title on your resume.
Which industries hire the most technical program managers in Mountain View?

Mountain View's density of semiconductor headquarters, AI research labs, and enterprise software campuses drives consistent demand for program managers who can operate across engineering, product, and operations at scale.
