- This role is a part of the Data Movement product within our Cloud and Engineering Platforms (CEP) organization, Information Technology Division.
- You will be a part of a team that innovates, participating in all phases of a development process.
- You’ll bring your knowledge of SOA platforms, along with an inclination toward development, to help cultivate a DevOps culture for American Airlines.
- You will have opportunities to work with many technologies across CI/CD, security and cloud hosting tools and platforms.

- Deliver solutions within the Data Movement Product leveraging Managed File Transfer, Message Oriented Middleware and Enterprise Service Bus products.
- Be a part of a DevOps team that completely owns and supports their product.
- Develop API proxies using Apigee Edge and Microgateway.
- Responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining IBM DataPower Infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Automation tools for IBM DataPower gateway deployments.
- Responsible for leading process and toolset implementations, enhancements and integrations, that will enable Continuous Integration/Deployment environments and workflows.
- Apply software engineering industry best practices to Data Movement applications and services. Maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development.
- Troubleshoot complex issues; identify and implement solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent 3 years experience/training.
Experience working in Apigee Edge, Microgateway and Developer Portal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or 4 years equivalent experience/training.

SKILLS, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

Well-rounded technical background in:
- Apigee Edge and Microgateway
- Combination of Development, Administration and Support experience in several of the following tools/platforms required:
- Cloud-based development: Kubernetes and micro-services
- Web Services: REST (JSON/WSDL/XML)
- Frameworks: Python, FastAPI, Typescript, Node.js
- Front-end: Angular, React
- Build/deployment tools: Git, Jest, Yarn
- Scripting: Python, Unix, SQL
- CI/CD: GitHub, Azure DevOps
- Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
- API development
- GitHub, and developing GitHub Actions
- Well versed in SOA and RESTful services and consuming the services.
- Good understanding of Apigee Architecture.
- Good experience in developing customized policies in Apigee.
- Implementing Enterprise security using BasicAuth, oAuth, SSL and certificates.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning modern technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems.

Experience in the following a plus:
- REST development
- Typescript/React
- Unit Testing frameworks
- Configuration and administration of continuous integration tools such as Azure
- Azure Cloud platform
- Containers technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
- Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (GitHub Actions, TDD, Automated regression testing)
- GraphQL
