Recruitment Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a recruitment manager in Texas?
The path to a recruitment manager role in Texas typically starts with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, followed by several years of hands-on recruiting experience. Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as a recruitment manager, but employers strongly favor candidates who hold credentials such as the PHR or SPHR through HRCI, or the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Building experience inside large Texas industries like energy, healthcare, or technology accelerates advancement.
How much do recruitment managers make in Texas?
Recruitment managers in Texas earn a median of about $136,500 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $83,200 for the lowest 10% to over $226,050 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire recruitment managers in Texas?
Employers hiring recruitment managers in Texas right now include KFC, Jobot, and Boston Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and expanding technology campuses means consistent year-round demand across sectors rather than seasonal spikes.
Which Texas cities have the most recruitment manager jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Dallas lead Texas in recruitment manager openings. Houston's energy and healthcare industries drive its volume, Dallas anchors corporate and financial services hiring for the broader metroplex, and Austin's rapid expansion in technology has made it one of the fastest-growing markets for recruiting leadership in the state.
Are there remote recruitment manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 8% of recruitment manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, relationship-driven nature of the work. Roles focused on sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews are the most consistently offered as fully remote, while positions that include onboarding or on-site HR functions tend to require at least a hybrid schedule.
How can I get hired as a recruitment manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist role inside a large Texas employer or regional staffing firm, then building toward management. HCA Healthcare and major Texas-based staffing agencies regularly hire junior recruiters with strong communication skills and run structured onboarding tracks. Lateral moves from HR coordinator, operations, or account management roles are common. Earning a SHRM-CP credential early signals readiness and gives candidates a concrete edge in competitive Texas markets.
Where can I find and apply to recruitment manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to recruitment manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and metro areas. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
