Recruitment Manager Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a recruitment manager in North Carolina?
North Carolina does not require a state-issued license to work as a recruitment manager, so the path runs through education and experience. Most hiring managers expect a bachelor's degree in human resources or business, followed by several years as a recruiter or HR generalist. Earning a SHRM-CP or PHR credential through the HR Certification Institute strengthens candidacy considerably. Large North Carolina employers in healthcare and banking typically promote from within their talent acquisition teams.
How much do recruitment managers make in North Carolina?
Recruitment managers in North Carolina earn a median of about $142,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $90,390 for the lowest 10% to over $260,610 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire recruitment managers in North Carolina?
Employers hiring recruitment managers in North Carolina right now include Airbus, Hoffman & Hoffman, and Ralliant, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. North Carolina's concentration of large healthcare networks, financial institutions, and technology companies means demand for recruitment managers is consistent throughout the year rather than seasonal.
Which North Carolina cities have the most recruitment manager jobs?
Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro account for the most recruitment manager openings in North Carolina. Charlotte leads because of its dense concentration of financial services and healthcare headquarters, while Raleigh and Durham benefit from Research Triangle Park's technology and life sciences employers, which run large internal talent acquisition functions that regularly need experienced recruitment managers.
Are there remote recruitment manager jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, and more than many management roles, because recruiting coordination and sourcing work is largely desk-based. About 63% of recruitment manager openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely distributed hiring has become since the shift to distributed work. Roles that involve high-volume or specialized corporate recruiting tend to be the most remote-compatible, while positions tied to healthcare or manufacturing sites usually require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a recruitment manager in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a coordinator or sourcing specialist role first, then building toward management. North Carolina's large hospital systems, including Atrium Health and UNC Health, and major banks headquartered in Charlotte regularly hire entry-level talent acquisition coordinators and HR associates with no prior recruiting experience. Completing a SHRM-CP or gaining an HR certificate through a University of North Carolina system program gives candidates a clear edge when competing for those first roles.
Where can I find and apply to recruitment manager jobs in North Carolina?
You can find and apply to recruitment manager jobs in North Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
