HVAC DISTRIBUTING LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Technical & Training Coordinator to support the continued growth of our professional HVAC equipment platform across North America.
This position connects product knowledge, technical support, contractor education, and business development. The ideal candidate will help ensure that our customers, sales team, distributors, and contractor partners understand our equipment, receive dependable technical resources, and have access to professional training programs that support successful installation, service, and long-term product performance.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development team member — Product Technical & Training Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of technical product education for HVAC DISTRIBUTING’s growing equipment portfolio. This individual will work closely with manufacturers, product development, sales, business development, engineering, marketing, distributors, and mechanical contractors to support product launches, technical documentation, field training, troubleshooting resources, and customer engagement.
The role will also gather feedback from contractors and customers to identify product improvements, training needs, market opportunities, and potential new products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCT TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Develop a strong working knowledge of HVAC DISTRIBUTING’s residential, commercial, packaged, split-system, heat-pump, mini-split, and VRF equipment.
- Serve as a technical product resource for the sales and business development teams.
- Support distributors, contractors, engineers, and project customers with product applications, installation requirements, specifications, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Review technical documentation provided by manufacturers for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and engineering teams to resolve recurring technical or product-related concerns.
- Help establish procedures for technical escalation, warranty support, critical-parts identification, and field issue resolution.
- Maintain records of product questions, field issues, corrective actions, and recurring training needs.
TECHNICAL TRAINING DEVELOPMENT
- Develop structured product training programs for distributors, contractors, technicians, sales representatives, and internal employees.
- Create introductory, installation, service, troubleshooting, and advanced technical training courses.
- Conduct in-person, virtual, classroom, and hands-on equipment training.
- Coordinate regional distributor and contractor training events throughout North America.
- Develop training presentations, instructor guides, participant workbooks, technical bulletins, quick-reference materials, videos, and digital learning content.
- Work with the team to establish training calendars, registration processes, attendance records, evaluations, and completion certificates.
- Help develop a national certified contractor and technical training program.

- Experience developing or delivering technical training is highly preferred.
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to review and interpret product specifications, wiring diagrams, installation manuals.
- Comfortable conducting live demonstrations and speaking to both small groups and large audiences.
- Experience working with HVAC manufacturers, wholesale distributors, mechanical contractors, engineers, or commercial projects is preferred.
- Some travel is required
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- HVAC technical certification, contractor license, NATE certification, EPA Section 608 certification, engineering education, or equivalent field experience.
- Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems, heat pumps, mini-splits, packaged equipment, controls, or VRF systems.
