Location: This position is on-site in Swedesboro, NJ. Please apply only if you live within commutable distance of Swedesboro.
Pay: $41/hr, plus a $0.50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Shift: 2nd shift.
Position Overview: This role involves the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of machinery utilized in food manufacturing processes. The main emphasis is on the upkeep and documentation of electrical and control systems, addressing both hardware and software aspects to ensure efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
- Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.
- Provide training and coordinate the activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
- Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.
- Address corrective, preventive, or scheduled repairs during equipment downtime following company and vendor specifications.
- Work independently or with a mechanic to identify and rectify equipment failures, restoring production promptly.
- Complete tasks in adherence to government regulations, GMP, safety standards, quality control measures, and company procedures.
- Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems, including networks, AC/DC and servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Maintain secondary systems for steam, hot and chilled water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
- Keep accurate work records in accordance with work orders, backlog, and job assignment systems.
- Carry out other assigned duties as required, which may include travel for parts procurement, training, or additional responsibilities.
- Aim to enhance the quality, legality, and safety of products and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure the assigned work area is clean and organized, reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activities to a Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- High school/military training and practical experience in a related field, with a background in complete machine and electrical control system installation.
- Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, as well as preventive maintenance software, is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.
- Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and basic troubleshooting for A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
- Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations, converting units of measurement.
- Competent in completing forms detailing maintenance work performed.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.

- Trabajar de forma independiente o con un mecánico para identificar y corregir fallas de equipo y restablecer la producción rápidamente.

- Realizar mantenimiento preventivo, programado o correctivo en sistemas de control de procesos por lotes y continuos, incluyendo redes, variadores AC/DC y servo, neumática, hidráulica y componentes mecánicos.
- Mantener los sistemas secundarios de vapor, agua caliente y helada, aire neumático, energÃa eléctrica, refrigeración, HVAC y control de emisiones.
- Llevar registros de trabajo precisos según las órdenes de trabajo, pendientes y sistemas de asignación.
- Realizar otras tareas asignadas según se requiera, que pueden incluir viajes para compra de refacciones, capacitación u otras responsabilidades.
- Buscar mejorar la calidad, legalidad y seguridad de los productos y procesos de manufactura.
- Mantener el área de trabajo limpia y ordenada, y reportar de inmediato a un Supervisor cualquier posible contaminación o actividad sospechosa.
Requisitos:
- Se prefiere tÃtulo técnico AS/AAS en IngenierÃa Eléctrica/Electrónica, o experiencia equivalente.
- Preparatoria o capacitación militar y experiencia práctica en un campo relacionado, con experiencia en instalación completa de máquinas y sistemas de control eléctrico.
- Se prefiere conocimiento del software de Rockwell, Siemens y Mitsubishi, asà como de software de mantenimiento preventivo.
- Capacidad para leer e interpretar documentación de diseño eléctrico, mecánico, de instrumentación y de sistemas de control.
- Conocimiento práctico de proyectos de sistemas de control, incluyendo distribución de máquinas, planos de control, P&ID y diagnóstico básico en A/B-Rockwell, Siemens y Mitsubishi.
- Capacidad para realizar cálculos matemáticos básicos y avanzados y convertir unidades de medida.
