What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage WisDOT transportation design project scopes, schedules, budgets, and contracts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal, county, state, and private-sector clients
- Lead WisDOT transportation design efforts for roadway, intersection, pedestrian, bicycle, and related infrastructure projects
- Coordinate project activities with internal staff, subconsultants, clients, & regulatory agencies
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and project staff
- Support business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation
- Assist with strategic planning & growth initiatives for REI’s transportation design practice
- Ensure project quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to REI’s quality control standards
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 10+ years of related experience in WisDOT Roadway Design
- Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE)
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation, roadways, or municipal infrastructure design projects.
- Strong understanding of Wisconsin DOT standards, municipal processes, and transportation design principles.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets and schedules.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically for client meetings and project-related activities.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
