42Q is an industry-leading, fully-featured cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System. 42Q is looking for a backend developer to create highly reliable solutions for our clients in a range of manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of experienced developers that will welcome your contributions.
This position will allow you to use the full range of your skills, to design and build applications that interface between systems to satisfy customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Linux environment using java or c++, and strong SQL query experience.
NATURE OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create new backend applications based on defined requirements;
- Suggest improvements to existing systems and help to implement those improvements;
- Design features and subsystems using methodologies that allow appropriate scaling and are transaction turnaround time;
- Support other teams by providing APIs, and developing utilities to manage data updates and transfers;
- This position involves development and support of enterprise-wide applications deployed to an AWS cloud environment, using a range of AWS services.
- Teamwork is a must in our highly distributed and dynamic environment;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- The candidate must have a Bachelor or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field;
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-level systems;
- Strong knowledge of relational database design, database management and SQL coding are required, as well as experience working with Java or C++ in a Linux environment;
- Experience with source code version control (SVN/GIT), CI/CD pipeline, prior work with PostgreSQL, and experience with web services is a plus;
- Experience with a range of AWS services is a plus;
US citizenship or US permanent resident status is required for this position;
