Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B visas in Arizona?
The largest H-1B sponsors in Arizona's consulting sector include the Big Four accounting and advisory firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG), global management consultancies like Accenture and McKinsey, and mid-market IT consulting firms such as Cognizant and Infosys. These employers have established sponsorship infrastructure and a track record of filing H-1B petitions for consulting roles in the state.
Which cities in Arizona have the most consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the majority of consulting H-1B sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial institutions, and technology companies that rely on consulting services. Scottsdale and Tempe also host a notable number of consulting employers, particularly in IT and management consulting. Tucson has a smaller but present consulting market, largely tied to the University of Arizona and defense-adjacent industries.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In consulting, roles that commonly meet this standard include management consultant, IT consultant, strategy analyst, financial advisory consultant, cybersecurity consultant, and SAP or Oracle implementation consultant. Roles described as general business advisory positions, where any degree is accepted regardless of field, may face greater scrutiny in the H-1B specialty occupation determination.
How do I find consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for H-1B sponsorship jobs, including consulting roles in Arizona. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface employers with a verified sponsorship history. This saves time compared to applying broadly and then discovering a company does not sponsor. Checking DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data can also confirm whether a specific Arizona employer has filed H-1B petitions for consulting positions previously.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for H-1B consulting sponsorship?
Arizona does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B employment, but consulting roles in the state often involve client-site work across multiple locations. When consulting work is performed at third-party client sites, the employer must file a new Labor Condition Application covering each worksite location. This is a common administrative requirement for consulting H-1B holders in Arizona and is worth confirming with your sponsoring employer before accepting a role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B consulting jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
