Focus on roles at established defense contractors around Little Rock and Camden, where federal contracts often require specialized technical skills that justify H-1B sponsorship for qualified international engineers.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most aerospace & defense sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock leads with General Dynamics, defense contractors serving the Air Force base, and aerospace suppliers. Camden hosts Lockheed Martin's significant missile manufacturing operations. Security clearance requirements for many positions can limit sponsorship to roles not requiring government clearances initially.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored aerospace & defense jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
