INTRODUCTION
The Equipment Technician supports production by helping maintain, repair and fill automated resin dispensing machines and production moulds.
Responsibilities:
- Support Production self-managed teams.
- Assisting in repairs or maintenance of dispensing machines.
- Fill machines with components and complete all production paperwork.
- Perform mould repairs/support refurbishment.
- Cleaning of machines as part of first line maintenance.
- Maintain mould, mouldette's, root plates, mould services.
- Work to detailed planned maintenance using electronic asset management.
- Using electronic asset management record all work against each machine.
- Keep records of parts used and up to date Kanban system.
- Understand mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of basic electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Ability to receive and maintain forklift certification.
- Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
- Use and handle hazardous materials and understand their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregate hazardous materials and waste.
- Communicate to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements.
- Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems, electrical work, or equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
