Operating Mechanic
The ideal candidate will support chemical or industrial operations in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. This role offers growth opportunities in heavy equipment operation and industrial maintenance.
Where will you work: Onsite Big Bend – (12839 Wyandotte Rd., Gibsonton, FL 33534).
Schedule: DuPont Schedule 4 days on, 7 off, 4 nights on, 3 off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 nights on, 3 off. 12-hour shifts (6am/pm to 6am/pm).
What you’ll do:
- Safely operate heavy equipment including payloader, skid loader, and forklift.
- Assist with routine industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with all safety and environmental policies.
- Work outdoors occasionally in varying weather conditions.
What you’ll need:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience working in Industrial, chemical, or manufacturing setting and operating mobile equipment of industrial, or manufacturing experience is preferred. Associate degree in Process Technology or related discipline is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
- Comfortable with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Ability to make operational judgments while distributing materials or operating equipment.
- Experience operating Heavy equipment such as Payloader, Skid Loader, etc.
- Exposure to industrial maintenance tasks (e.g., basic mechanical repairs, equipment inspections).
