Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor Green Card visas in Indiana?
Several large employers in Indiana's distribution and wholesale sector have documented Green Card sponsorship histories, including Cummins, Eli Lilly's supply chain division, and major third-party logistics providers operating out of the Indianapolis metro area. Large wholesale distributors and regional distribution centers affiliated with national retailers also sponsor workers, particularly for roles in supply chain operations, procurement, and logistics management.
Which cities in Indiana have the most distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis leads the state by a wide margin, given its position as a central logistics hub with easy access to major interstate corridors. Fort Wayne and Columbus also have meaningful concentrations of distribution and wholesale employers. Plainfield and Whitestown, both just outside Indianapolis, host large fulfillment and distribution center campuses that have sponsored workers for operations and management roles.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Indiana?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field are most commonly sponsored. In distribution and wholesale, this includes supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, procurement managers, inventory planning specialists, and operations managers. General warehouse or fulfillment associate roles typically do not qualify because they do not require a specialized degree, but supervisory and analytical positions with technical requirements often do.
How do I find distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters jobs by visa sponsorship type, including Green Card, and by industry. You can browse distribution and wholesale roles in Indiana directly, without sorting through listings from employers who do not sponsor. Migrate Mate's job board also surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship histories in the sector, which saves significant research time.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Indiana's position as a major Midwest logistics corridor means distribution employers here tend to hire at scale, which supports more structured sponsorship programs compared to smaller markets. However, sponsorship still requires the employer to initiate the PERM labor certification process, which involves demonstrating no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. Indiana does not have state-level immigration programs, so federal Green Card timelines and requirements apply fully.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card distribution & wholesale jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
