Which electronics companies in Indiana sponsor Green Cards?
Indiana employers known for sponsoring employment-based Green Cards in technical fields include Raytheon Technologies, Cummins, Rolls-Royce (Indianapolis), Delphi Technologies, and Allegion. Semiconductor and defense electronics firms in the state have a documented history of filing PERM labor certifications for engineers and hardware specialists. Sponsorship patterns can be verified through the DOL's OFLC disclosure data, which logs PERM filings by employer and occupation.
Which Indiana cities have the most electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the largest share of electronics Green Card sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its defense, medical device, and industrial electronics sectors. Fort Wayne has a notable manufacturing and embedded systems presence, while Kokomo has historically been tied to automotive electronics through suppliers like Continental and Delphi. Smaller clusters exist in Lafayette, home to Subaru's manufacturing operations, which supports electronics and automation roles.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Indiana?
Roles that commonly qualify include electrical engineers, hardware design engineers, embedded systems engineers, PCB design specialists, RF engineers, and semiconductor process engineers. These positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline. PERM labor certification requires the employer to demonstrate the role cannot be filled by a qualified U.S. worker, making degree-specific and highly specialized roles stronger candidates.
How do I find electronics Green Card sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa-sponsored roles, including electronics Green Card jobs in Indiana. You can filter by visa type and state to surface employers actively sponsoring Green Cards for electronics and hardware positions. Because PERM sponsorship requires significant employer commitment, focusing your search on established Indiana manufacturers and defense contractors will yield the most relevant results.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Indiana's electronics industry?
Indiana does not have a state-level immigration program, so Green Card sponsorship follows standard federal employment-based pathways, primarily EB-2 and EB-3. One relevant factor is Indiana's manufacturing-heavy economy: many electronics employers are mid-sized manufacturers who may have less institutional experience with PERM filings than large tech firms. It's worth confirming during the hiring process whether a prospective employer has prior experience sponsoring employment-based Green Cards.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card electronics jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
