Search Healthcare Jobs in IndianaHealthcare Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
Which healthcare companies in Indiana sponsor Green Card visas?
Indiana University Health, Ascension St. Vincent, Franciscan Health, Parkview Health, and Community Health Network are among the state's larger healthcare employers with established HR infrastructure for employment-based immigration. Academic medical centers and research institutions affiliated with Indiana University School of Medicine and Purdue University also have track records of sponsoring Green Cards for physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals.
Which cities in Indiana have the most healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis is the clear center of healthcare employment in Indiana, home to the state's largest hospital systems, research hospitals, and specialty clinics. Fort Wayne, the state's second-largest city, has a significant healthcare presence through Parkview Health and Lutheran Health Network. South Bend, Evansville, and Lafayette also have active healthcare markets, with rural areas occasionally recruiting internationally for physicians and advanced practice providers facing local workforce shortages.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Indiana?
Physicians and surgeons are the most common healthcare roles sponsored for Green Cards in Indiana, particularly in specialties with documented shortages. Registered nurses with advanced credentials, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical researchers, and clinical laboratory scientists also appear in sponsorship filings. Roles requiring a specific degree in a defined field, and positions where the employer cannot readily fill the position domestically, are more likely to move through the sponsorship process.
How do I find healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter jobs by Green Card sponsorship, healthcare industry, and Indiana location all at once, which removes the need to manually review each employer's immigration policies. The platform aggregates healthcare roles from Indiana employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, covering positions in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and beyond. This focused filtering saves significant time compared to general job searching.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in healthcare?
Indiana participates in the Conrad 30 waiver program, which allows J-1 visa physician visa holders to waive the two-year home residency requirement by committing to work in a medically underserved area for three years. This program is separate from standard employment-based Green Card pathways but is relevant for international physicians already in Indiana on J-1 status. Employers in underserved rural and urban areas of the state are more likely to engage with immigration-based recruitment given ongoing physician shortages.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card healthcare jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
