You can search specifically for roles at Ford, Toyota, GE Aviation, and automotive suppliers throughout Louisville, Lexington, and other manufacturing hubs across the state.
Which visa types are most common for automotive jobs in Kentucky?

How does Kentucky's automotive industry affect prevailing wages for visa sponsorship?
Kentucky's lower cost of living compared to coastal states results in competitive prevailing wages that automotive companies can more easily meet for visa sponsorship. The state's focus on manufacturing and assembly roles, rather than just design centers, creates diverse wage tiers for different engineering specialties. University partnerships with UK and University of Louisville also influence local talent pipelines and wage standards.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored automotive jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
