Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor TN visas in Minnesota?
Minnesota's aerospace and defense employers with documented TN visa sponsorship activity include Honeywell's defense and space division in Plymouth, Collins Aerospace in various Twin Cities locations, Lockheed Martin, and smaller defense contractors supporting the U.S. Army Corps and Air National Guard logistics chain. Tier-one suppliers to Boeing and Northrop Grumman programs also hire TN-eligible professionals in engineering and technical disciplines.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs?
The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro accounts for the largest share of aerospace and defense TN roles in Minnesota, with notable concentrations in Plymouth, Bloomington, Eden Prairie, and Eagan where defense contractors and aviation suppliers maintain engineering centers. Rochester sees demand in systems and avionics work, while the St. Cloud area hosts manufacturing operations tied to defense component supply chains.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN-eligible roles in Minnesota's aerospace and defense sector most commonly fall under USMCA categories such as Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, and Scientific Technologist. Specific positions include aerospace engineers, systems integration engineers, avionics software developers, mechanical design engineers, and quality assurance specialists. The role must require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, and the job duties must align with a recognized TN occupation category.
How do I find aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by TN visa sponsorship and industry, making it straightforward to identify Minnesota aerospace and defense employers actively hiring TN workers. Because TN sponsorship depends on the employer's willingness to support the process at the border or port of entry, searching on Migrate Mate for verified sponsoring companies in this sector saves significant time compared to filtering general job boards manually.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Minnesota's aerospace sector?
Minnesota aerospace and defense employers often require security clearance eligibility, which affects TN holders since clearances are tied to citizenship status for most classified programs. Canadian and Mexican TN applicants can work on unclassified contracts without restriction, but roles on certain defense programs may require U.S. citizenship. Prospective applicants should confirm program classification requirements directly with the employer before accepting an offer.
