Search Insurance Jobs in NebraskaInsurance E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance companies in Nebraska sponsor E-3 visas?
Omaha-based carriers are the primary source of E-3 visa sponsorship in Nebraska's insurance sector. Mutual of Omaha, Physicians Mutual, and companies within the Berkshire Hathaway insurance group have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Smaller regional carriers and third-party administrators also sponsor, though less frequently. Sponsorship activity varies by year and role, so checking DOL LCA disclosure data gives the most current picture of which employers are actively filing.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most insurance E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the substantial majority of Nebraska's insurance E-3 sponsorship activity. The city functions as a national insurance hub, hosting corporate headquarters and large operational centers for multiple carriers. Lincoln has a smaller but present insurance employment base, primarily through regional offices and state government-adjacent roles. Outside these two cities, insurance E-3 sponsorship opportunities are limited, as most specialty occupation roles are concentrated in Omaha's employer cluster.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Nebraska?
E-3 eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Nebraska's insurance industry, roles that commonly meet this standard include actuary, data analyst, underwriter, financial analyst, risk analyst, and insurance product development specialist. General claims processing or sales roles that do not require a specific degree field are less likely to qualify, and employers must confirm the specialty occupation determination before filing.
How do I find insurance E-3 sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Nebraska insurance employers with verified E-3 LCA filing history. This removes the guesswork of approaching employers who have never sponsored the visa. Beyond the job board, reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data can confirm which Nebraska insurance companies have filed recently, giving you a targeted list of employers already familiar with the E-3 process before you apply.
Are there Nebraska-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in the insurance industry?
Nebraska's insurance industry operates under state licensing requirements administered by the Nebraska Department of Insurance, which are separate from federal visa requirements. Australian professionals in roles requiring a Nebraska producer or adjuster license will need to satisfy those state licensing conditions independently of the E-3 process. For actuarial roles, credentialing through the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society is standard regardless of visa status. Employers familiar with Nebraska's licensing framework are generally better equipped to manage the combined compliance requirements of state licensure and E-3 sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 insurance jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
