YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Recruiter will play an important role for sourcing candidates at all levels, partnering with local and national organizations, growing brand and name recognition while ensuring the recruitment of a viable workforce for the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The Recruiter will be responsible for professional recruiting for management, salaried, technical, and executive positions; in addition to various hourly positions, as needed.
The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified, and capable talent.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
- Develop and administer recruitment and retention programs in conjunction with property Human Resources Leadership using the latest technology
- Be able to develop and maintain a network of candidates through traditional methods, use of social media, and relevant technologies, and all other avenues as needed to ensure a quality candidate pool
- Develop recruitment programs including job fairs, destination recruitment, building relationships with candidates, enhance and expand current college recruitment programs, to facilitate the achievement of quality staffing levels
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs; attend meetings to acquire knowledge about the departments' needs and operations
- Assess, conduct reference checks and places candidates that satisfy the hiring managers' requirements
- Establish and maintain Human Resources objectives, standards, procedures, and budget to ensure the proper management of recruitment functions
- Execute recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources, assessing candidates, screening, and recommending finalists
- Travel to recruiting destinations; conducts employment interviews in order to source a number of qualified applicants
- Interpret federal and state employment laws and Company policies to ensure consistent application and compliance
- Continuously explore new recruiting sources, job boards, and forums to grow the candidate pool
- Act as a brand ambassador for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas; and is able to provide detailed information on Company culture, guest service standards and initiatives, history, and growth
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates when applicable
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Performs other duties as assigned

MUST HAVE'S
- Completion of a high school education in addition to a minimum of six years human resources recruiting experience
- Review, comprehend and respond to all necessary department information
- Communicate effectively with all levels of Teammates, as well as all outside contacts
- Develop and manage recruitment program and department plan within budget constraints
- Develop effective recruiting programs for all positions
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to travel
- Must possess a demonstrated thorough knowledge of all state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Must have extensive knowledge of various interviewing techniques
- Must have strong marketing skills and be able to influence at all levels
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, web-based applicant tracking systems, and portable technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S
- Previous experience in a multi-faceted Human Resources Recruiting role at a similar facility
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
- Bi-lingual
THE WORKING CONDITIONS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Working in a typical office environment, may experience interruptions, distractions, conflicting priorities
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and maintain physical stamina and mental attitude while dealing effectively with management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature, with long hours seated, typing on a keyboard, and viewing computer screens but must be able to stretch, bend, and kneel without restriction
- May be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and pet dander/hair
- Work both independently and interdependently depending on work tasks, projects, special initiatives
- Utilize all equipment associated with the position proficiently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
