Which hospitality companies in New Jersey sponsor work visas?
Major New Jersey hospitality sponsors include Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Ocean Casino Resort, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village, Marriott properties in Newark and Princeton, and Hyatt House locations also sponsor visas. Airport hospitality companies at Newark Liberty International frequently sponsor management and specialized service positions.
What visa types are most common for hospitality jobs in New Jersey?
H-1B visas dominate for hotel management, revenue management, and food service management roles in New Jersey hospitality. J-1 trainee visas are common for culinary positions and hotel operations training programs. L-1 visas apply to international hotel chains transferring managers to New Jersey properties. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican hospitality professionals in qualifying positions.
How to find hospitality visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for New Jersey hospitality positions that offer visa sponsorship. Filter by cities like Atlantic City for casino resort roles, Princeton for luxury hotels, or Newark for airport hospitality. The platform shows which employers have sponsored visas previously and displays current openings with sponsorship potential across the state's hospitality sector.
Which New Jersey cities have the most hospitality visa sponsorship opportunities?
Atlantic City leads with casino resorts like Borgata, Ocean, and Hard Rock sponsoring international talent for gaming, hospitality management, and culinary roles. Princeton offers opportunities at luxury hotels and corporate hospitality venues. Newark provides airport hospitality positions, while Jersey City and Hoboken feature boutique hotels and corporate lodging that sponsor specialized roles.
Are there industry-specific considerations for hospitality visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's casino gaming regulations require additional licensing considerations for sponsored employees in Atlantic City properties. The state's proximity to New York City creates higher prevailing wage requirements in northern counties. Many New Jersey hospitality employers participate in seasonal J-1 programs, while year-round positions typically require H-1B sponsorship for management and specialized culinary roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored hospitality jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
