Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in New York?
Major management consulting firms with significant New York offices, including McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte Consulting, PwC Advisory, Accenture, and Oliver Wyman, have documented H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filings. Financial services consultancies and Big Four advisory practices in Midtown Manhattan are among the most active sponsors, given New York's concentration of corporate and financial sector clients requiring specialized consulting expertise.
Which cities in New York have the most consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship opportunities in New York state, driven by the concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, global financial institutions, and professional services firms in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Smaller pockets of consulting activity exist in White Plains and Buffalo, but candidates targeting H-1B1 sponsorship in consulting should focus their search primarily on New York City.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 visa sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In consulting, this typically covers management consulting analysts and associates, strategy consultants, technology and systems consultants, financial advisory specialists, risk and compliance consultants, and human capital consultants. General business development or account management roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a specific role meets the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters consulting roles in New York by verified H-1B1 Singapore Labor Condition Application filing history, so you can identify employers who have actively sponsored Singaporean nationals rather than relying on unverified postings. Search for consulting and professional services roles in New York on Migrate Mate, then review each employer's sponsorship track record. This approach is more targeted than general job searches because it surfaces firms with demonstrated sponsorship activity in your specific visa category.
Are there any New York-specific or consulting industry considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
New York state does not impose additional immigration requirements beyond federal H-1B1 visa rules, but consulting firms operating in New York's regulated sectors, particularly financial services, healthcare advisory, and government consulting, may require additional professional licenses or security clearances that affect eligibility timelines. New York City's prevailing wage levels, determined by DOL through the OFLC Wage Search tool, are among the highest in the country, so employers must certify that offered compensation meets those benchmarks before the LCA is approved.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore consulting jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
