INTRODUCTION
Burr & Forman has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Senior Associate or Counsel in the Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC or Nashville, TN office.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires a J.D. degree and membership in the applicable state bar association. The candidate will manage routine commercial real estate transactions including lease reviews, handling acquisitions and dispositions of properties from contract negotiation through due diligence review and closing, general real estate development, and managing complex engagements in a team environment. This role involves drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and JV agreements as well as spearheading transaction due diligence. A strong background in title and survey items is preferred. The ideal candidate has 6 or more years of experience in sophisticated deal work and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Strong analytical, drafting, and organizational skills are essential. Must be licensed to practice law in the applicable state.
