Which media & entertainment companies sponsor visas in North Carolina?
Major sponsors include Lionsgate Entertainment in Charlotte, Turner Broadcasting's regional operations, Discovery Inc.'s content production teams, and EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington. Charlotte-based Bank of America and Wells Fargo also sponsor visas for their extensive media marketing and digital content divisions. Regional production companies and post-production facilities throughout the Research Triangle frequently sponsor O-1 and H-1B visas for specialized talent.
Which visa types are most common for media & entertainment roles in North Carolina?
H-1B visas dominate for technical roles like software developers, data analysts, and digital marketing specialists at media companies. O-1 visas are standard for creative professionals including directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors working on film and television projects. P-1 visas apply to entertainment groups, while TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying technical media positions.
How to find media & entertainment visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for media and entertainment positions with visa sponsorship in North Carolina. The platform filters jobs by state and industry, showing which employers have sponsored visas previously. Focus on Charlotte's corporate media operations, Raleigh-Durham's tech-media companies, and Wilmington's film production facilities when browsing opportunities.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most media & entertainment sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte leads with corporate media divisions at major banks and headquarters operations for entertainment companies. Raleigh-Durham follows closely with tech-enabled media startups and university research partnerships. Wilmington specializes in film and television production with studios like EUE/Screen Gems. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored media & entertainment jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
